Along with the premium Latitude 9510 laptop, Dell has prepared an updated version of the XPS 13 for CES 2020. The device has an expanded display, a keyboard from edge to edge, a large touch panel and the ability to lift the lid with one hand. The case of the device includes materials such as machined aluminum, carbon fiber, woven fiberglass, and tempered glass Corning Gorilla Glass.
Screen and keyboard specifications
The new Dell XPS 13 (9300) contains a 13.4-inch 16:10 format display, but at the same time, according to the manufacturer, it fits in an 11-inch form factor. It has dimensions of 295.7×198.7×14.8 mm and a weight of 1.2 or 1.27 kg, depending on the display used. The choice of users is offered InfinityEdge displays with a resolution of Full HD + 1920 × 1200 pixels (normal or touch) or 4K Ultra HD + 3840 × 2400 pixels (touch). Versions with touch panels are heavier. In all cases, the maximum brightness is 500 nits and provides 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. Modification with 4K Ultra HD + resolution additionally boasts HDR 400 certification and coverage of 90% of the color space of DCI-P3. The display received a thinner frame than before, but at the same time, it became 6.8% larger than before. The display occupies 91.5% of the panel surface. And the laptop case itself has become 2% less.
System features
It is noted that the new Dell XPS 13 (9300) laptop is certified according to the Project Athena standard. The configuration may include one of the 10th generation Intel processors: Core i3-1005G1, Core i5-1035G1 or Core i7-1065G7. RAM is offered in the form of options from 4 GB to 32 GB, and the capacity of a solid-state drive with a PCIe 3 x4 interface varies in the range from 256 GB to 2 TB. The device carries onboard stereo speakers with a power of 2.5 W each, a combined 3.5 mm audio jack, dual microphone, HD webcam, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports (DisplayPort / power delivery), one USB Type-C port and a slot for microSD memory cards. A complete battery with a capacity of 52 Wh provides up to 19 hours in stand-alone mode.

For the new Dell XPS 13, a version with Windows 10 is available, as well as a version for developers with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. At the same time, the standard version with Windows 10 will be available in some countries from January 7, and it will enter the global market in February. The price starts at $ 999.99. A version for developers will be available on the market from February at a price of $ 1199.99.
